Opt-Out Sign-Up for New Members Under Way
Smith's Opt-Out Program pays eligible employees $150/400 per year to travel to and from work without driving a single-occupant (SOV) vehicle, an initiative to help ease the parking demand on campus. The Opt-Out Program is a voluntary program to encourage faculty and staff to find alternate ways to commute, such as car-pooling, ridesharing, bicycling, walking and public transit. Click here for more details: http://www.smith.edu/campuspolice/parking_optout.php. Registration runs through February 1 and must be done in person at the Campus Police Office. You may download a registration form at http://www.smith.edu/campuspolice/forms.php and bring it to Campus Police to obtain your decal and parking passes. Sign-up hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-noon and 12:30-3 p.m. or you may call ext. 2495 to make an appointment during these hours. Register online http://www.commute.com/sign_up with MassRIDES for the Emergency Ride Home Program. Questions? Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
