Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day at Smith, Saturday, March 2, 9 a.m., Ford Hall
Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day is an outreach program for girls in grades 5-8 sponsored by the Smith College Society of Women Engineers. Girls will get the chance to choose one of three activities which include aeronautical engineering (learning about the basics of flight while building a balsa wood glider), environmental engineering (building model wind turbines out of computer fans), and mechanical engineering (learning about the engineering design process while building Rube Goldberg machines).
