In the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings, many questions have arisen about Chechnya. The Global Studies Center and Center for Religious & Spiritual Life invite you to a WHAW (What’s Happening Around the World) event with Five College Assistant Professor Sergey Glebov, assistant professor of history at Smith and Amherst colleges, a discussion about exploring and working toward an understanding of the Caucasus region, which is marred by a complex entanglement of linguistic, ethnic, religious, and political tensions. The event will take place in the Global Studies Center, Wright Hall, on Tuesday, April 30, at noon. Pizza lunch will be served.
