Gillian Murray Kendall earned a B.A. and M.A. from Stanford University and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Harvard University.

Professor Kendall loves to teach Renaissance literature, particularly Shakespeare and other Renaissance dramatists. She is the editor of and contributor to a volume of essays, Shakespearean Power and Punishment (1998).
