Dean Caitlin works with international students to provide advice on all matters pertaining to immigration, visas, foreign travel, passports, work authorization, practical training programs and personal and financial problems.
The associate dean also directs the international students' preorientation program (ISP).
Dean Caitlin holds open hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2-4 pm in Wright Hall 124.
Student Programming and Support Coordinator
Nathan serves as a bridge to the Office of International Study and the International Students & Scholars Office. He is also available for general immigration questions and can be a resource to international students on campus.
Sara overseas the programs and events of the Lewis Center. She supports the international student preorientation program (ISP) as well as events and workshops throughout the year which encourage cultural sharing and provide space for conversations on world events and global issues.
Budget and Enrollment Coordinator
Sue oversees the Lewis Center budgets, including that of the ISSO. She can assist with emergency fund requests or any study abroad financial questions.
International Student Intern
The international student intern is a knowledgable resource whose internship helps provide her with experience in answering basic questions about the international student experience. As an international student herself, she provides a unique and necessary perspective for the associate dean, and provides a student voice during the development of programming and projects in the Office for International Students and Scholars.
Saikun is a junior who double majors in Economics and German Studies. In spring 2014 she studied in University of Hamburg through the Smith Program in Hamburg. As an international student working in the International Students and Scholars Office, she is very excited to assist more students in related matters and help them get more involved in Smith community.
International Student Office Assistant
The international student worker also acts as a resource for students visiting the office. The role of the student worker is a support role, making sure paperwork is processed quickly through the office, helping to process mailings, supporting programming, and helping maintain the student files.
Ellie, a sophomore from Greece, is a Mathematics major. She joined the ISSO team this Fall in the hopes of helping her fellow international students during their time here at Smith.
