Installed Software

The following software is installed on all faculty, staff, and computer center computers and is fully supported by ITS:

• Microsoft Windows or Apple Macintosh OS
• Microsoft Office for Windows: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  
• Microsoft Office for Macintosh: Excel, PowerPoint, Word

Transitional support is provided for previous versions of these applications. If you have any questions about supported versions, please contact the IT Service Center at ext. 4487.

The following applications are not supported by ITS:

• FileMaker Pro (installed by request only*)
  
• MySQL (installed by request only*)

Software

The following applications are included in the standard FCAP and administrative images, or available in self service. Most of these applications are also available in the student computer centers.

Application	Platform	Support*
Adobe Creative Cloud The current Adobe license allows Adobe Creative Cloud to be installed on two Smith owned devices only. Available from the smithsoftware downloads page.	Mac & Windows

*Levels of Support:

• None: This application is not supported by Smith
• Install only: Help with installation questions only
• Partial: Help with basic operational questions only
• Full: Help with all questions

Smith students, staff, and faculty can download the following applications and utilities from the Smith software download site:

• Sophos (for home use)
• CCleaner
• Spybot Search & Destroy (Windows only)
• SSH, Core FTP LE, and Fetch file transfer utilities
• Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari web browsers
• Adobe Reader
• Windows, QuickTime, RealPlayer, Flash & Shockwave media players
• Stuffit file expander (Macintosh only)
