First Fridays@Five moves to February 14

Josten celebrates Valentine’s Day with performances by some serious singers on the sometimes silly topic of love. Our hearts may ache and break -- but we all love libraries!

5:00 pm My Josten Valentine:  Songs from the Heart
Josten Performing Arts Library mezzanine

Free of charge and open to all!

Let Josten Library be your Valentine! Divas, balladeers, and belters bring hearts and voices to the soaring Josten Mezzanine for a musical  sendoff into the most romantic, frilly, and annoying holiday of the Hallmark season.

Featuring serious Smith vocal talent -- Cerella Gonzalez, Anna Lee Hirschi, Katie Lipow, Jessica Marlor, and Emma Swartz -- and a range of repertoire, from the sublime to the frankly sentimental. Clifton J.(Jerry) Noble, Jr. provides piano and guitar accompaniment, and will croon as well. Just an hour of your time -- no date required.

First Fridays @ Five at Josten Library

A patron-driven performance series in Josten Library's acoustically brilliant mezzanine. Students, faculty, and staff in the performing arts offer informal live music, dance, and theatre performances on first (or occasional second) Fridays during the semester at 5:00 pm – a great way to welcome the weekend. On Green Street, between Sage and Ford Halls. Josten First Fridays @ Five are open to  the public and free of charge.
