Amy Hague, Curator of Manuscripts, oversees processing and preservation of collections as well as reference services for the Sophia Smith Collection. She coordinates the research support program of fellowships and travel grants and participates in collection development and design and writing of grant proposals.

Amy has a B.A. (1975) and M.A. (1983) in history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was part of the first group of students in the newly-created women's history Ph.D program headed by Gerda Lerner. She earned an M.L.S. from the University of Denver (1977) where she participated in the Institute for Archival Studies.

Amy Hague

After working for a few years as a Research Analyst at the Wisconsin Legislative Reference Bureau, Amy came to the SSC in 1988 as Assistant Curator, finding the perfect niche for putting into practice her dedication to the mission of women's history and training in archives administration.
