Brooke Marshall, S.M. ’19

Brooke Marshall

As a recent college graduate, my coaching experience was rather limited before coming to Smith. In my first year, the ESS program has exposed me to a rigorous education in the field of coaching and provided me with the opportunity to implement what I’m learning on a daily basis. From working as an assistant coach for the field hockey team, to teaching courses for undergraduate students, I’m able to support my practice with a strong theoretical foundation.

The ESS program’s comprehensive approach to coaching is unique and is the reason that I was so drawn to Smith. In addition to the academic and experiential benefits of the ESS program, I’ve developed many meaningful relationships with my classmates and colleagues. I am continually blown away by the camaraderie of our class, and know that I have made connections that will last me a lifetime.
