Residence life is part of Smith's cocurricular environment that enhances and enriches the academic program. Students come from varied backgrounds, and the house community provides a supportive, social environment for students to learn about and appreciate each other's experiences and differences.

Invite to Iftari dinner

Dinner and discussion to celebrate the conclussion of the holy month of Ramadan. Sponsored by the Office of Residence Life and the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life. July 17, 7:30 pm, Cutter/Ziskind Dining hall. Sign up is required and you may sign up online.

Summer Housing Reminders

You may not subtract weeks or change any weeks already contracted for, but you can always add weeks. The immediate week following can only be added through Wednesday of the preceding week (for example, on Thursday May 21, you can no longer request the week of May 24-30). Be sure to pay careful attention to the key return deadlines sent to you in your confirmation emails.

Fall Room Changes

The Post Room Draw Room Change Form has closed. Fall room changes not already requested through the Post Room Draw Room Change Form must be requested through the academic year Room Change Form, which will reopen after the fall room freeze ends on Tuesday September 22.

Summer Housing Form

NOTE: The summer housing reopened on May 14th. No weeks may be deleted after May 1st, but weeks may still be added now that the form has reopened. The summer housing form is available from the Forms & Applications page. For more information on the process to sign up, please check this informative Prezi giving Tips for Completing the Summer Housing Form (note: some students find the movements of Prezi slideshows disorienting, please use your best judgment before viewing).

Return Dates for Fall 2015
For those students looking to plan ahead for next fall, returning students will be able to start picking up keys on Sunday, September 6 from 1pm to 4pm and Monday, September 7 from 9am to noon at ITT. Student choosing to return early on Friday, September 4 (key pick up is noon-3:30pm at ITT) will be charged (to their student account) a $150 fee. There will be no key pick-up on Saturday, September 5. Classes will start on Tuesday, September 8. There will be no need for any early returns for students registering for 5 College classes.
