Smith College has a long tradition of self-governance. Established in 1919, the purpose of the Student Government Association is to listen to the student body, to create and maintain relations between the student body and the greater Smith community, and to advocate for student needs.
To increase the visibility of the SGA, its role, and its purpose and build relations with the administration for productive conversations in order to build a better college community.
The SGA Restructure will be worked on after Senate meetings on Tuesdays starting at 8 p.m. in CC 103/104. Members of the community are welcome to come and discuss the issue with members of the SGA as we work together to create a student government that can better serve the needs of the student body.
