Students Impacted by Ableism and their Allies meets every Tuesday at lunch, 12:30-1:30 pm, in the Scales Living Room. Everyone in the SSW Community is welcome to attend, regardless of whether they identify with having a disability or not.
This group aims to be a support for students managing physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, mental health issues and learning disabilities. The group strives to advocate for students with disabilities and find common cause around how to combat ableism. Students Impacted by Ableism also develops programming for the Smith community to raise awareness about how ableism impacts society, institutions and individuals.

Living Subjectively is a community and collective open to any current Smith SSW student to engage continuously with unlearning the effects of a culture of sexism and misogyny as they have impacted people of all genders and across many intersections of identity.
Living Subjectively empowers and challenges members to grow in their sense of "grounded authenticity", to relax into both vulnerability and conflict, to cultivate an understanding of and appreciation for ourselves and others in all our complexity, and to seek out uncertainty and sit with discomfort as a means of learning more about ourselves and the world.
Weekly meetings are on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in the Scales Living Room. Open to all SSW students. The location of these meetings is wheelchair accessible.

The Council for Students of Color meets weekly on Wednesdays at 5:45 pm-6:45 pm in the Scales living. The Council for Students of Color invites anyone who self identifies as a person of color to attend. If you identify as a POC, you are welcome to come to any meeting. The agenda changes weekly, but our hope is to provide a space for processing, support, and for community to form.
