Events Off Campus 2010 Shrink Your Footprint Fair! Live Green - $ave Green! March 13, 2010 The Fair will feature live music by Brick by Brick, vendors, exhibits, a free raffle,childrens activities, along with snacks and beverages. Three workshop sessions will follow at 1:30, 2:35 and 3:40pm. There will be three separate workshops during
each session; one each for adults, youth and families/kids.
The workshops will feature family and adult gardening workshops led by Derek Christianson of Brix Bounty Farm and Alan Palm from the Allicance for Climage Education, will be leading workshops on using media to get your message out, youth leadership,and messaging through the arts. Other workshop topics will include native landscaping,
green parenting, composting and much more.
The event is FREE and open to the public. Bring the whole family this is going to be a child friendly event.

We work to educate and support the campus community and the college's sustainability committee in the efficient use of finite natural resources. Events Off Campus Hot Politics: The Battle for U.S. Climate Legislation March 25, 2010 A Talk by Dr. James K. Boyce, professor of economics at the University of Massachusetts and director of the environment program of the Political Economy Research Institute. He is a member of the economic and allocation advisory committee to the California State Air Resources Board and Environmental Protection Agency. He also writes and works on climate policy and environmental justice on the national level. His most recent book is the edited volume, Reclaiming Nature:
Environmental Justice and Ecological Restoration.

They include women whose majors ranged from anthropology and American studies to biological sciences, whose environmental careers deal with education, law, non-profits, consulting, or government, and whose work encompasses local, national and international environmental action.

Brad Kessler is the author of the critically acclaimed literary nonfiction Goat Song: A Seasonal Life, A Short History of Herding, and the Art of Making Cheese, published by Scribner in 2009 and soon to be released in paperback. The author of two prizewinning novels and recipient of prestigious awards and fellowships, Brad Kessler has also written for The New York Times Magazine, The Nation,and The New Yorker. He lives and farms in Vermont.
