Forbes Library Community Bird Walks
May 13, 2012
Join us during the height of the spring bird migration for 4 Sunday morning bird walks. We'll meet at the front door to the library and walk from there at a leisurely pace around the Smith Campus and down to Paradise Pond. We'll look for all the species we can find, everything from black-capped chickadees to blackburnian warblers. We'll also listen to bird calls and learn how to identify some birds by their songs. Bring binoculars and your favorite field guide. Dress for the weather; it can still be cold on a May morning. Rain cancels, but if it is just drizzling we will still go. We'll have a different leader each week. Free and open to the public.
