August 10, 2013
August 11, 2013
Regular conference of the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA). This year's keynote speaker is Atina Diffley, organic farmer, consultant, activist, and author of the 2012 memoir, "Turn Here Sweet Corn: Organic Farming Works". Atina's advocacy has addressed the pressures of suburban development, and she has been a leader in the struggle to stop the notorious polluters, Koch Industries from building an oil pipeline over her land and throughout the state of Minnesota. The conference also includes more than 200 workshops (on topics like organic farming, gardening, land care, draft animals, homesteading, sustainability, nutrition, food politics, activism, and much, more), music and dance, farmer's market and more.
