Concinnity Fest

This year we will be holding our 2nd annual Concinnity Fest at MacLeish! The event includes free admission, transportation, and food for all Five College students and friends. We will expand from last year’s exhibits with new artists and artwork, ranging from films to photography to music performances and more, all created by students. Buses will run from JMG to MacLeish continuously throughout the event--feel free to stay as long or short as you want, there will be art/music/s'mores/more all day! We also welcome you to play music/showcase your art/film, or CREATE art live at the venue. Transportation, PA system, projector screen, paint etc will be provided for all artists, of all experience levels, forms, and styles. Sign up on our website.

I Sing Earth Pt 1: Elephants’ Tears
May 1, 2019
The Choreopoem Acting Class presents I Sing Earth Pt 1: Elephants’ Tears, a play with music about the environment and our place in it, written by Pan Morigan, and directed by Andrea Hairston & Pan Morigan. Using choreopoem acting and ensemble techniques, students in this course have explored the local/global/historical impact of human communities on the environments they inhabit, focusing on the MacLeish Field Station and our local Western Massachusetts ecosystems. We also explored the impact of language, world view, and imagination on our relationships to environmental issues. This performance is free and open to the public.

It's time for our annual Trash for Treats move-out program! From 4:00-8:00 pm a Smith recycling truck and the Hot Oven Cookies food truck will be traveling around the Quad and Apartments. Please bring out your recyclables (paper, cardboard, bottles, cans, etc.) and any clothes you'd like to donate when the trucks are near your house. In exchange, you'll get a delicious cookie from Hot Oven Cookies! Vegan and gluten-free options are available. Look for posters in your house with timing details.
