Events Off Campus Film screening and panel: Farm Free or Die August 5, 2022 Don't miss this outdoor film screening and discussion with Roger Sorkin, the filmmaker. The 29-minute film advocates for regenerative agriculture-based energy solutions to be included and strengthened in the federal Farm Bill that's up for renewal by Congress in 2023.
The event will begin with opening remarks by Congressman Jim McGovern, State Senator Jo Comerford and Mayor Gina-Louise Sciarra. After the screening of the film there will be a panel discussion with filmmaker Roger Sorkin, Gaby Immerman and Jo Comerford, moderated by Lilly Lombard. Hosted by Grow Food Northampton and the American Resilience Project.

Events Off Campus Climate Action: Inspiring Change August 16, 2022 How can we transform the climate crisis into hope for our shared future? Peabody Essex Museum’s timely exhibition brings together dynamic contemporary art, hands-on experiences and inspiring works by youth artists to help guide us toward making a difference for the planet. On view in the Dotty Brown Art & Nature Center, this exhibition highlights local and regional climate issues and opportunities. Most of the 30 featured artists are based in New England — including works by 10 award-winning youth who participated in the Climate Hope: Transforming Crisis international student art contest in 2020 organized by Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Programs.
The exhibition will be on view April 16, 2022 through June 25, 2023. Museum hours are Thursdays, Saturdays & Sundays 10 am–5 pm and Fridays 10 am-7 pm. More... Peabody Essex Museum, Dotty Brown Art & Nature Center
