Film screening: Counted Out (followed by a panel discussion and dinner December 2, 2024 The film, featured in the New York Times, investigates the biggest crises of our time—political polarization, racial and economic inequity, a global pandemic, and climate change—through an unexpected lens: math. The film will run until 6:00 PM, with a panel discussion (and pizza) to follow. Panelists include Smith faculty: Becca Thomases (MTH), Candice Price (MTH), and Shannon Audley (EDC, MaRS co-PI), and will be moderated by Valerie Joseph (AEMES Mentoring Administrative Director).
