Lucinda Williams is the Libraries' Acquisitions Librarian in the Collections, Discovery & Systems department. She is responsible for the daily operations and efficiency of the Acquisitions section. She manages the acquisitions processes including ordering, receiving and invoicing. Lucinda helps to resolve problems, issues and questions. She consults with faculty and academic departments to be sure that the acquisitions needs are met. In the financial arena, Lucinda monitors and reconciles the library materials budget and authorizes payment of invoices.

Lucinda, with her husband and son, own and operate a family dairy farm in Hatfield. Their son is the 13th generation to farm the land (it’s been in the Belden family since 1661). They currently milk about 160 cows and crop nearly 300 acres in hay, alfalfa and corn. They milk with a voluntary milking system where the cows get to choose when they want to be milked. They are also in the process of installing an anaerobic digester to convert manure and liquid food waste into electricity. Lucinda enjoys keeping active doing things like hiking and rock-climbing, indoor activities like quilting and crafting, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and seeking out new adventures.
