Julia Stephen, 1892

In this photograph, Julia sits at her desk in the drawing room at Talland House. A drawing by G. F. Watts of her mother, Maria Pattle Jackson, is visible on the desk. Julia and her mother “never passed a day apart without exchanging letters.”
