Lori Russell of Wilbraham, an advocate for motorcycle safety, explains to students in ANT 130, Introduction to Cultural Anthropology, the joys of motorcycle riding (especially those made by Harley Davidson, shown here), the modern accessibility of motorcycle riding to women, and the importance of responsible driving. Her presentation was part of a unit on American motorcycle culture, which includes an effort by the Harley Davidson company to encourage women to ride. The unit is taught by Donald Joralemon, professor of anthropology.
