Those on campus who deal frequently with those Central Services printing order formstyping in the information, making copies and delivering materials to Green Streetwill likely be pleased with a recent development: the new E-Copying Order Form.
The electronic form will allow computer users on campus to submit printing requests online, saving time and effort.
According to Scott Caron, an administrative assistant in Central Services who helped develop the electronic form, the new format has been an instant hit. Weve had many submissions already via the electronic form, he says, since the office introduced it one week ago. Everybody seems very happy with it.
Heres how it works: consult and select Printing Services, then Order On-Line. From there, you can either view Instructions (in pdf format) for filling out the electronic form or go directly to the On-Line Copying Order Form (a word document). Fill out the form the same as you would the hard-copy version, including name, campus extension and address, as well as account numbers to be charged. Save the completed form to your hard drive or desktop.
To complete the order, send the form and documents to be copied via email (as attachments) or place them in a Central Services drop box.
Central Services personnel welcomes the use of the form in as many cases as possible, though they realize some materials, such as books, cannot be sent electronically.
For more information about the form, contact David Osepowicz at dosepowi@smith.edu, or Scott Caron, scaron@smith.edu.
