Beloved Russian Writer to be Feted
Isaac Babel, a writer of historic impact through his works in theater, film, music and stories, will be celebrated during a three-day festival at Smith, Amherst College and the University of Massachusetts, from Thursday through Saturday, December 9–11. The festival features a performance at Smith of Babel's play Marya on each of the three festival nights, at 8 p.m. in Theatre 14 at the Mendenhall Center for the Performing Arts.
