Changing the Face of
Science and Engineering
Smith is preparing to welcome some 75 accomplished
alumnae to campus April 20-22 for “Smith College: Changing the Face of Science and
Engineering.” The gathering is intended to reconnect these science and engineering
leaders and emerging leaders to Smith, introduce them to the college’s ambitions
for science and engineering, and provide an opportunity for students and faculty
to interact with graduates working in a range of fields. Many of the visiting alumnae
are expected to stay for “Celebrating Collaborations.”
A highlight of the program will be a panel discussion
at 4:15 p.m. Friday, April 21, at the Alumnae House, focusing on Smith’s role
in advancing opportunities for women in science and engineering. Students, faculty
and staff are invited to the panel, and to the tea that follows at 5:30. The panelists
