THE BASICS:
Where are you from?
Brooklyn, N.Y.
Did you always know you
wanted to come to Smith?
Not at all. It was actually one
of the last schools that I applied to, but it moved up to
the #1 spot in no time. After arriving home from my interview
with a Smith alumna, I knew that my place was at Smith.
NOW THE FUN STUFF:
Who gets the most face
time with you?
My best friend back at home gets
the most face time because I always have new
stories to tell her about my
daily experiences at Smith.
What are you reading
now?
I am in the process of reading
Visions for Black Men by Na'im Akbar, an influential
book to upilft humanity starting with the roles we play in
the household first. It's a must read.
What is your favorite
movie?
I have a few: The Wood,
The Lion King, The Notebook, and Love
& Basketball.
If you suddenly had two
hours of free time, what would you do?
If I didn't have money, I would
write in my journal. However, if I just received a paycheck,
I would SHOPPP.
What is your favorite
wall hanging in your room?
The cards that my Big Sibs gave
me for an entire week and the signs that my artistic roommate
makes me every time she says how much she loves having me
as a roommate.
Do you vote?
No.
If you could live during
any period in time and in any place, when and where?
I would live in the early ’80s
in NYC, when Hip-Hop music was at its peak. There were a lot
of influential messages in Hip-Hop music back then, and everyone
had their own drive and passion.
What do you think about
the weather in New England?
Brrr..I'm shivering at this very
moment.
Is there any time in
your life you wish you could do over?
Not at all. I am happy with who
I am, and I feels as if my experiences have shaped who I've
become.
Without searching for
the information...Do you know how Paradise Pond got its name?
I've never really cared.
What single piece of
advice would you give to President Christ?
I would tell her to be more available.
She's always out of town at the wrong times.
