THE BASICS:
Where are you from?
South Carolina.
Did you always
know you wanted to come to Smith?
While researching colleges I
came acrosss an article on a very conservative Web site --
that called Smith a "radical feminist university" -- that
talked about all the lady love and hairy armpits as though
that would make me not want to apply. I started
filling out my application that day.
NOW THE FUN STUFF:
Who gets the most face
time with you?
My D4 ladies and our
against-the-rules-but-oh!-so-cuddly fifth roommate, Tobacco.
When was the
last time you wore a dress?
Who knows? I wear dresses
often, but I wear them like a teenage Courtney Love fan --
with combat boots for optimal edge.
What are you
reading now?
Another Roadside
Attraction by Tom Robbins, Assassination Vacation by
Sarah Vowell, and The German Ideology by the terrible
twosome: Marx and Engels. I have literary ADD and always
have to have many in progress at a time, which probably
explains why it takes me a month to finish a book.
Do you eat fast food?
I'm taking the Fifth on this
one.
What do you miss most
about home?
Hot and sticky summer nights
that involve good friends and cheap beers. Oh, and boiled
peanuts.
What is your favorite
movie?
Wayne's
World.
If you suddenly had
two hours of free time, what would you do?
Typical college student response:
sleep.
What is your
favorite wall hanging in your room?
I have a wall of Victorian pornography.
Do you consider yourself
an urban, suburban or rural person?
I grew up in a small town whose
biggest claim to fame is that Miss America 1980 was born
there, but when my parents got divorced my Mom and I moved
to the edge of Columbia (which is the largest city in South
Carolina) so she wouldn't have to commute an hour and a half
to work every day. But due to suburban sprawl and middle-income
housing developments, suburbia has engulfed us and driven
our rent up.
What annoys
the heck out of you?
When people just leave
their buggies in the middle of a parking space and I either
can't park there without getting out or dinging my car. Are
people really that lazy that they cannot walk 20 extra feet?
Who are your
role models?
Well, according to
my MySpace profile, Elizabeth Flynn Gurley is my hero. But
it used to be Tori Spelling, and before that it was Lorena
Bobbitt. Who knows who it'll be next?!
What single piece of
advice would you give to President Christ?
Seriously reconsider
the pronunciation of your name.
