THE BASICS:
What do you do at Smith?
I am the associate
director of the Career Development Office.
How many years
have you been at the college?
Just about two now.
What is your busy season?
September through April/May.
NOW THE FUN STUFF:
Who gets the most face time with you?
My two young girls, Jordan,
6, and Ava, 4.
What are you
reading now?
Wolf at the Table by
Augusten Burroughs, but some of my favorite contemporary
authors are Tim O'Brien, Richard Russo, Elizabeth Berg and
Mario Puzo.
What is your favorite
movie?
So many, but I guess The
Godfather I and II, and anything by Hitchcock.
If you suddenly had two hours of free time,
what would you do?
Bicycling and/or sleep!
What is your favorite
wall hanging at home?
Hand printed pictures that my
kids made for me for Father's Day last year.
What annoys the heck
out of you?
Drivers with cell phones, who
are trying to kill me.
Do you eat fast food?
Not a lot, but yes.
Do you consider yourself
an urban, suburban or rural person?
Rural, for sure. Love the out-of-doors,
smells/sounds of the seasons.
Who are your role models?
Sadly, I've never really thought
about this. I guess a role model to me is a composite of
many people's traits.
What's your favorite thing about
where you grew up?
Woods and the reservoir that
was my front yard.
What single piece of
advice would you give to Smithies?
Take a risk but only
if also willing to really work for it. |
