New Trustees Announced at Smith
College
Seven new members joined the Smith
College Board of Trustees on July 1, 2000.
New board members include Katrina
Gardner, class of 2000, former head of Smith's student government
association, who will serve a two-year term. Other new members,
all of whom will serve five-year terms, are:
Ann F. Kaplan,
class of 1967, managing director and head of the municipal bonds
department, Goldman Sachs Group, L.L.P., New York;
Dawn Gould Lepore, class of 1977, vice chairman and CIO, Charles
Schwab & Co., Inc., San Francisco;
Judith Milestone, class of 1966, senior vice president, network
booking, CNN/Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., Atlanta;
Victoria Murden McClure, class of 1985, who, in 1999,
became the first woman and first American to row across the Atlantic
Ocean; she is presently on leave from the position of development
director at the Muhammad Ali Center, Louisville, Ky.;
Nancy Godfrey Schacht, class of 1956, board member and volunteer
for several major arts and social service organizations, New
York;
Anita Volz Wien, class of 1962, president and chief operating
officer, G7 Group, Inc., a political and financial consulting
firm, New York.
