FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--The exhibit "Cut
From the Same Cloth," a visual representation by
the Smith College community in response to the events of Sept.
11, is on display on the construction fence surrounding the fine
arts center renovation through Monday, Oct. 22.
Smith staff, faculty and students have been encouraged to draw
their thoughts-focusing on "Anger and Fears," "Things
We Share/Have in Common," "Hopes" and "Actions"-on
colorful strips of cloth available at various locations on the
Smith campus.
Organized by the Smith College Staff Council, this installation
is part of "On the Fence, Public Art in Public Space"
sponsored by the Smith College Museum of Art.
