NORTHAMPTON, Mass.-Handmade crafts
by more than 60 local and regional artisans, as well as baked
goods, music, children's activities and a silent auction, will
be the featured attractions at the 22nd annual Northampton Winter
Craft Fair, to be held Saturday, Dec. 1, and Sunday, Dec. 2,
at Smith College.
The fair, which is open to the public and wheelchair accessible,
will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Scott Gymnasium.
Admission is $2 for adults and free for children 12 and under.
Access to Scott Gym is via Green St. or Lower College Lane.
The Northampton Winter Craft Fair represents a collaboration
between the Smith College Campus School (SCCS) and Big Brothers
Big Sisters of Hampshire County (BBBS). BBBS uses the proceeds
to match children with mentors and SCCS uses the funds for scholarships.
For more than 25 years, BBBS has provided one-to-one mentoring
friendships with adult volunteers for at-risk children in Hampshire
County.
The Smith College Campus School is an elementary laboratory school
serving children from preschool through grade six.
