Art Conservation Methods Topic of Symposium at Smith
NORTHAMPTON, Mass.—“In the Loupe: The Art and Science of Conservation” will be the topic of a symposium on Saturday, Oct. 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Weinstein Auditorium, Wright Hall, Smith College. The cost of the event is $90, and it is open to the general public.
The event, which is hosted by the Smith College Museum of Art, is the fourth in a series highlighting various careers in the arts. Speakers will include professional conservators from the Whitney Museum of Art in New York, the National Archives, Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Williamstown Art Conservation Center and The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore.
