Fortune Magazine's "Fourth Most Powerful Woman In American Business" To Keynote Public Symposium on Women and the 21st-Century Workplace Shelly Lazarus, CEO of Ogilvy & Mather, the world's sixth-largest advertising firm, will give the keynote address at a Smith College symposium on women and work at 3 p.m Friday, October 2. The public is invited to the symposium, which will be held in Theatre 14 of the college's Mendenhall Center for the Performing Arts on Green Street. The symposium, featuring key leaders from the corporate, health care, and non-profit sectors, is among the events being held to launch Smith College's new universal student internship program. Lazarus, a 1968 graduate of Smith and chair of its board of trustees, is a 26-year veteran of Ogilvy & Mather, where she has worked in every product category and has played a significant management role over the last decade. She was recently named "fourth most powerful woman in American business" by Fortune magazine and was profiled in the New Yorker among the top female executives in communication and entertainment. She will discuss the role of women, liberal arts education, and early practical experience in the 21st century workplace. In addition, speakers at the symposium will include Angela Diaz, M.D., Director, Adolescent Health Center, Mt. Sinai Medical Center; Elizabeth Mugar Eveillard '69, Managing Director, PaineWebber; Nancy Lowe Henry '67, Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Counsel, Dun & Bradstreet; Harry P.
