Keith Sawyer, Morgan Distinguished Professor of Educational Innovations, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Sawyer will present an innovative approach to teaching, learning, and educational technology. This exciting approach is grounded in an interdisciplinary field called the learning sciences that brings together educational psychology, cognitive science, computer science, and many others. Sawyer will draw on this foundational scientific research to provide practical lessons for how to design classrooms and curriculum, how to prepare and support teachers, and how to build schools with effective structure, leadership, and culture.

Bio: Professor Keith Sawyer is a leader in the learning sciences. He is the editor of three editions of the definitive handbook of the field, The Cambridge Handbook of the Learning Sciences. He is the author or editor of 20 books, including The Creative Classroom, and over 120 journal articles and book chapters. He is known for his research on creativity, collaboration, and learning.
