The Department of Theatre's New Play Reading Series presents Lake Placid 2026 by Cecily Morrow, MFA ’27. Lake Placid 2026 is the pilot of a television series following four international student/athletes training in Lake Placid, NY, based on the writer’s experience training and later coaching in the Olympic Village. Morrow began the script as a Smith undergraduate in 1990. For 33 years, she has dreamed of returning to finish what she started.
