Awards
for Alumnae Association
The Alumnae Association of Smith College recently received
a number of awards recognizing its communication efforts
and publications.
Earlier this month, the
Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE)
awarded the association a silver medal in the category
of Individual Alumni Relations Publications. The honor
was for the association’s 125th anniversary
promotional package, which was sent to all alumnae last fall
and included information cards that featured colorful patterns
based on the original architectural drawings of the Alumnae
House. The association was one of three award recipients
in this national competition.
Last week, the Smith Alumnae Quarterly, which is
published by the Alumnae Association, received a Merit Award
for design from the Society of Publication Designers. The
magazine was one of 500 other publications -- out of 7,000
entries from around the country -- to be recognized. Earlier
this year, the Quarterly also received a bronze
medal from CASE District 1 in the General Interest Magazine
category.
