Campus
Groups Sing for Fellow Student
Several campus a cappella
singing groups will join the Smith College Chamber Singers
on Sunday, April 1, for Harmonies for Healing, a student-organized
benefit concert to raise funds for Maggie Worthen ’06.
Worthen suffered a stroke on campus last May, and remains
in a coma.
The event, which is sponsored by Duckett House, will take
place at 1 p.m. in Helen Hills Hills Chapel. A suggested
donation of $5 will be accepted at the door.
The a cappella groups the Vibes, Smiffenpoofs, the Noteables,
and the Groove will perform, as well as the Chamber Singers,
directed by Jonathan Hirsh.
For those unable to attend the benefit but who wish to make
a donation, contact Arianne Abela, ext. 6630, aabela@email.smith.edu.
