Birthday, Gate!
 It was one year ago today, Feb.
12, that The
Grécourt Gate first “opened” with
the objective of becoming Smith’s only source of news
that updates the college community daily about the people,
programs and events of Smith.
To help celebrate our first birthday, we invite you, our
readers, to provide an entryway into Smith life by sharing

Bookshop to the photographers of the best three images. Meanwhile,
open The Gate every day to see when your submitted
picture shows up on Photo of the Day.
Throughout its first year, The Gate has sought
to build its readership among students, staff, faculty and
others by providing ongoing coverage and promotion of the
events and stories pertinent to Smith. Thank you, readers,
for informing us of your achievements, ideas and news tidbits.
