Trick
or Treat at Smith for Halloween
For some,
especially the young, it’s the biggest holiday
of the year, and why not—dressing up in funny or scary
costumes, accepting handouts of candy and goodies and celebrating
all things spooky.
Smith students invite the Halloween-spirited to don their
eeriest garb and check out these holiday events.
Gillett Trick or Treating
On Halloween,
Gillett House will host trick-or-treating around the house
from 3-4 p.m., followed by Halloween games from 4-5 p.m.
Children of all ages are more than welcome! Contact Katherine
Schneider at ext. 6901 for more info.
Annual Quad Halloween from 1 to 3 p.m.
The House Presidents' Association will host this annual
party for the families of the Smith College and Northampton
communities. There will be a variety of Halloween activities
including pumpkin painting, bean bag toss, a feeling/sensation
booth, cookie decorating, a haunted house, and more.
In a related event, the Association of Smith Pagans will
conduct a Samhain ritual on Friday, October 31, at 8 p.m.
in the Field House. Samhain is a celebration of the harvest's
end and a time to acknowledge ancestors. No experience is
required. Dress comfortably, but make sure that any clothing
is candle safe. Please contact us at asp@email.smith.edu
if you have questions. |
