A Forum on Sustainability

Dear Smith Community,

As you may know, as a signatory to the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment Smith College has committed to becoming carbon neutral. When and how we get there are being addressed by the Smith Sustainability and Climate Action Management Plan (SCAMP), which has been developed by a group of students, staff and faculty, including the Committee on Sustainability, and is ready for your input.

As announced in eDigest, a campus community forum has been scheduled at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 16, in the Carroll Room in the Campus Center. Lunch will be provided. The forum will include an overview of the draft plan and the opportunity to speak directly with those who have had a role in developing it.

I encourage you to attend the open forum and offer your feedback and comments to the Committee on Sustainability. The draft plan can be downloaded in advance atwww.smith.edu/green/scamp.
