Supporting Our Commitment to Ethics & Transparency
September 21, 2016
To the Smith community,
I write to share information about an additional program Smith now provides in support of our commitment to ethics and transparency. Today, we are launching EthicsPoint, an online and phone service used by many of our peer institutions, including Brown and Tufts universities and Amherst College. EthicsPoint supplements our existing reporting options by providing students, staff and faculty with a way to report concerns anonymously about illegal behavior, fraud, discrimination, bias and more. A designated staff member will follow up on reports made through EthicsPoint as appropriate. Please note that EthicsPoint is not a 911 service for reporting emergencies, nor does it replace the current mechanism for reporting sexual assault.
You can find EthicsPoint, along with more information about its reports and processes, here.
Sincerely,
Kathleen McCartney
President
