In Bristol, Vermont, Eliza La Rocca ’07 and husband Erlé LaBounty own and run Farmhouse Chocolates, a tiny ethical chocolate company. LaBounty grew up in rural Vermont, worked on his grandfather’s dairy farm and started hand rolling truffles at age 16. La Rocca came to Vermont in 2010 after leading food and wine tours in Italy. Together they make “simple, but sublime” chocolate, as they describe it.

 

Confections include dark chocolate bark with ylang ylang, cacao nibs and candied rose petals; Vermont apple cider caramels; and lavender-lemon truffles.
