Ashley Bulseco

Biography

Ashley Bulseco earned a Ph.D. in Ecology, Evolution and Marine Biology from Northeastern University, where her research focused on understanding the consequences of excess nutrients on important coastal ecosystems, both aquatic and terrestrial. Prior to Northeastern, Ashley received a M.S. in Marine Science & Technology at the University of Massachusetts Boston and a B.S. in Marine Science from the University of Hawaii at Hilo. She is currently science faculty at Stoneleigh-Burnham School in Greenfield, MA, where she also coaches volleyball and softball. After receiving her Ph.D., she also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, MA. Ashley is passionate about STEM education and has a deep appreciation for the natural world more broadly. In addition to her work as a teacher, Ashley consults for a non-profit organization that uses artificial intelligence to make STEM more inclusive.
