Biography
Beth Powell is a behavioral neuroscientist with interests in the biological basis of mental/emotional disorders and neurological conditions, such as multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer's disease. Current topics of inquiry include the mind/body relationship and its role in stress-related behavior and illness, as well as the use of therapeutic drugs, including herbal remedies, to improve emotional and mental health. She teaches courses in research methods in psychology and neuroscience, physiology of behavior and psychopharmacology.
