Samina Arif AC ’97
Samina Arif AC ’97 is a skeletal health marketing specialist at Hologic, a medical technology company focused on women’s health. She develops and executes multichannel marketing campaigns for skeletal imaging technologies in B2B and patient markets. At Hologic, Samina also serves on the company’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. In previous roles, she has worked for a marketing agency, run her own advertising and design business, managed a multisite medical practice, and acted as the marketing and human resources lead in high-tech startups.
Samina was originally a member of the class of 1986 but took a hiatus in her junior year to pursue her passion for creative writing. Almost 10 years later, she returned to Smith as an Ada Comstock Scholar to complete her degree in U.S. history.
Samina has been president of the Smith College Club of Rhode Island since 2015. At the 2018 Smith Volunteer Leadership Conference, she received the Leadership Award for Clubs and presented strategies and tactics for successfully increasing member engagement in Smith clubs.
As a Director on the AASC Board, Samina intends to apply her marketing, engagement and creative skills to fostering inclusive conversations and strengthening the relationship between the diverse alum community and the college.
