As you begin to use Windows 10, there are a lot of simularities to Windows 7.
- Windows search is on the taskbar next to the start button. You can search for things within windows.
- As you select the start button "Programs" now says "All Apps" for the applications you want to run.
- Within the start menu there is a Live tiles section that allows you to pin applications into named groups for easy access to commonly used applications or programs.
- Drag and drop the application icon to the live tile to create a new group or add the application to a new group. You can also right click on an application inside the start menu and Pin to Start. You can also Pin to Taskbar to pin the application to the taskbar.
- On the Start Menu, "Shutdown" now shows "Power" in order to sleep, shutdown, or restart the computer.
- Right-Click on the Start Menu to quickly access various utilities like system information, programs and features, and control panel.
- You can download applications from the Windows Store in addition to the way you have been downloading and installing software on Windows 7.
