In using this list, keep in mind that the availability and contents of the sites on the World Wide Web constantly change. URMIA has not reviewed all of the contents of every site listed, and inclusion on this list is not intended as an endorsement of the sites or any product or services offered or mentioned on the list.

Government

This searchable database contains information that manufacturers of medical and laboratory devices have supplied on the year 2000 status of their products. The database shows whether or not a manufacturer has found a date-rated problem in any of its products; and if so, which products are affected and what steps the company is taking to fix the problem.

The House Subcommittee on Technology posts transcripts of its hearings on the Year 2000 Problem on this site. Hearings to date have discussed the impact on energy utilities and the air traffic control system, among the other topics. The testimony on "The Global Dimensions of the Millenium Bug" may have particular relevance for foreign travel and study abroad programs.
