For Students

Hello, Smithies! You're here to learn, explore, find your voice and discover your best self. And we’re here to help. Make the most of your college experience by getting the resources and support you need. We’ve got you covered.

Sip Sip, Hooray!

Put the kettle on, everyone—the custom Smith tea blends are now for sale online, in the bookstore, and at the Campus Center Café. Initially debuted during the inauguration festivities of President Sarah and served at your Friday house teas, the two blends are sustainably made and packaged, in keeping with Smith’s values.

Calling All Artists!

Help us reach the next generation of Smithies! We’re calling for submissions of artwork that will be used to create stickers that will be included in the admissions packet for admitted incoming students. (Like this one from last year, designed by Haley-December Brown ’23.)

The theme is “Joy”—What brings you joy at Smith?

Seniors: Order Your Academic Regalia

Regalia will be available for purchase at the Smith College Bookstore starting April 15, 2024. Please visit the bookstore at 8 Green Street on or after April 15 to purchase your regalia. You do not need to place an order online in advance.

If you received regalia through the SGA lottery and need a tassel, they can be purchased in person at the Smith College Bookstore, also starting April 15.

If you have any questions related to regalia please call the bookstore at 413-585-4140 or email 1354mgr@follett.com.

Those receiving financial aid have the option of participating in the Regalia Loan Program lottery offered through the Student Government Association. All students will be invited to enter the lottery in January and will be notified in early February as to whether they can receive regalia through this program.

Only students who receive Smith aid and are verified through Student Financial Services are eligible to enter the lottery. Questions regarding this program should be directed to the SGA office at sga@smith.edu.

First Tuesdays

Next Event: Tuesday, May 7, 2024
Calling all campus community members! Sponsored by the Office of the President, join your colleagues and peers in the Julia McWilliams Child ’34 Campus Center on the first Tuesday of every month from 8:30–9:30 a.m. for coffee, donuts, and a chance to catch up on happenings around the campus. Bring a friend from your own department or house, or meet a new one.

Give Back, Plate by Plate

Want to lend a helping hand and reduce food waste in the process? Contact the Smith Food Rescue Network to see about helping to donate dining hall leftovers to members of the Northampton community who may be in need. Donations—totaling more than 22,000 pounds since the program’s inception in 2022—most often go to Manna Kitchen, but the Rescue Network may have other local locations in mind as well.
