Fort Hill offers a 10-week summer program for children who have been in the Fort Hill program during the academic-year and for children who are newly admitted to the program for the next academic-year. The program offers the same schedule options as during the academic-year.
During the summer, the children spend most of the time outside on the playground, and, as always, there is significant collaboration and visiting among the classrooms.
The summer teachers are familiar Fort Hill teachers; however, your child’s summer teaching team will likely not be the same as your child’s classroom teaching team during the academic year. Several teachers have academic-year appointments and do not work in the summer. Enrollment decreases during the summer program and we frequently combine classrooms. We plan the teaching teams and classrooms once we have completed enrollment.
Tuition is based on the group (infant, toddler, or preschool) in which a child is enrolled during the academic year, i.e., if a child is a toddler during the academic-year, she is a toddler the following summer. Families pay only one summer of infant tuition.
