The 25th, 35th, 50th, and 60th Milestone Reunions are special times to collectively celebrate being a Smithie. Your class leaders partner with and build on the great work of the fund teams to lead the class toward making its largest gift to Smith to date. Milestone Reunions are the four times a class has the opportunity to come together to fund a class gift designated for a specific purpose at Smith.

Class Gifts

The magnitude of individual gifts varies based on each donor’s financial capacity and his or her inclination to give to Smith. Nonetheless, most class members who participate in their Milestone Reunion Fund stretch to make the largest commitment they have considered to Smith to date. Learn more about giving opportunities to Smith and the ways to make a milestone gift.

Ideas for the milestone class gift are discussed by a range of volunteers from the class. That group reflects on several criteria, including the importance of the initiative to the college’s priorities, the impact the class could have and the appeal to a range of alums across the class.

Milestone Reunion Classes

Your 25th Milestone Reunion is an opportunity to reflect on your personal Smith experience, reconnect with classmates and invest in current and future generations of Smithies, just as previous alums did to support your success years ago.

What does my 25th Milestone Reunion gift look like?

The 50th Milestone Reunion stands out in the lifetime of an alum as a significant occasion to reflect on the gift that was Smith. It’s an opportunity to remember your personal Smith experience, reconnect with classmates and invest in current and future generations of Smithies, just as previous alums did to support your success years ago.

Your gifts to Smith during the 5-year milestone cycle are gifts to your former Smith mentors and professors, a nod to the experiences and relationships you enjoyed on campus years ago and gifts to current students on their own Smith journey.
