Debra J. Immergut

Debra J. Immergut, the career specialist in arts, media and communications, has worked in all of those areas in her career, as a digital and print editor, journalist, and teacher and author of fiction. Her 2020 novel You Again was a New York Times Best of the Year, and The Captives was a 2019 Edgar Award finalist, published in over a dozen countries. She’s written journalism, essays and fiction for The New York TimesThe Wall Street JournalAmerican Short FictionNarrative magazine, New York Magazine and elsewhere. A recipient of Michener and MacDowell fellowships, she has an M.F.A. from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and a B.A. from University of Michigan.
